What are the benefits of artificial turf?
Sanitary, easy to clean and low maintenance - Artificial grass can be simply brushed or rinsed down, making it perfect for pets and children's play areas, and best of all, it requires no trimming and minimal maintenance.
Wear resistant - Unlike traditional lawns, artificial lawns do not wear out and turn into a pile of mud in wet conditions. Artificial turf is an all-weather surface that children and pets can enjoy all year round, but will look beautiful and lush over the years.
Look just like Real grass - Modern artificial turf products look and feel very real and come in a wide variety of pile lengths and styles that can be used for a variety of garden types and applications, from short piles for decorating lawns to long piles for play areas and cottage gardens.
Cost effective and easy to install anywhere - artificial lawns cost a lot and can be laid on existing lawns, on terraces, balconies and most hard surfaces.
Planning and measurement
Please note that this is purely a guide and we strongly recommend that you hire a reputable landscape contractor to lay your artificial grass. We always recommend that you thoroughly research laying techniques before taking on a project yourself.
The sod is sold by square metre, with a roll width of 2m / 4m and an optional pile length of up to 25m. Measure the total length and width of the proposed artificial turf area and calculate the amount of artificial turf required. To simplify the estimation process, it may be necessary to divide a complex area into smaller areas and plot them on a grid or chart paper. It is important to include some extra length and width in your calculations, considering the trim and shape of the lawn. It should also be noted that rolls of artificial turf should always be laid in the same direction to ensure that the piles match and that all parts of the turf should come from the same production lot.
