How to deal with mold or moss on artificial lawn?

Mold and moss are not exactly must-have garden accessories this season, however, the change in weather conditions has set the perfect temperature for these little garden demons to grow. When lovely trees shed their leaves, moisture is trapped beneath the layers of leaves. Mix it with the perfect amount of shade needed for moss and mold to grow.

It can grow almost anywhere, including on your artificial lawn. Yes, it's rare, but artificial grass can also contain moss and mold. Airborne spores attach to the grass filaments and reproduce if left untreated.

Artificial grass, under certain conditions, can promote moss and mold growth, although it can be treated with a few simple steps:

Wash down

Use a manual weed mower

Brush off

Rinse away

This not only solves the problem, but also helps prevent its recurrence.

Don't panic - if you notice any small black spots or slight fuzzy green coating on the artificial grass, treating it immediately will stop it moving on the track and prevent it from coming back.

Treatment of moss or mold:

First, if you have any visible weeds or surface moss, we recommend gently pulling it out of the grass. This will help with the following treatment processes:

1. Rinse it off

Power cleaning will remove excess moss or mold before cleaning the lawn. If you don't have power cleaning, then a pressure hose will do the job. If any stubborn weeds are still around, comb them out with the back of the rake (teeth pointed away from the grass) and throw them away.

2. It is suitable for treatment

Thanks to neutral pH balance and 100% biodegradable, our lawn cleaners are your environmentally friendly cleaning choice and also meet severe mold or moss problems. The solution is diluted for easy use. Handy spray bottles make applying easy - all you have to do is apply evenly to the affected area.

3. Brush off

Use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub away any residual moss or mold. Use a cleaning fluid between the artificial grass leaves to make sure you treat 100 percent of the grass.

4. Rinse away

Rinse off excess water with a hose and let dry. Your artificial grass will soon look as good as new.

We recommend that all lawn owners deep-clean at least twice a year. This will help you get the best performance from your artificial grass, while helping to keep it from any natural garden nightmare we endure. For pet owners, this will increase based on use.
