How to clean the artificial lawn on the terrace?
Now that you've installed artificial turf on your balcony, garden, terrace or roof terrace, whether you install it on the floor or as a wall, you'll appreciate the little maintenance it requires. Compared to natural grass, you don't need to water, trim or fertilize. You just need to follow a few simple steps to keep your artificial turf looking fresh for years.
Tools you may need:
Harrow (for small areas) or blower (for large gardens)
Vacuum cleaner
Hard broom or brush (but not metal to avoid damaging the lawn)
A hose or bucket containing water
Spray a soft soap or equal amount of water and vinegar solution in a bottle.
Incident clean
Balconies, terraces or terraces with artificial turf always look attractive and are ideal for entertaining. But what if one of your guests accidentally spills wine or coffee on it? Or what if your beloved pet had an accident and ended up meeting its needs on your artificial lawn?
Don't worry, a little red wine or pet poop won't be enough to stain your high-quality and corrosion-resistant artificial turf. All you need to do is water the area with a lot of water (if installed correctly, the water will flow into the drain hole and not accumulate). Then, spray with a mild soap solution or an equal amount of mixture of water and vinegar, and rinse with water. Soon your artificial turf will be clean and look new.
Regularly clean
Artificial turf can be cleaned as well as any indoor floor. Many times, dry leaves and other trash, like paper, end up on the artificial lawn. For balconies and roofs, we recommend that you collect all the rubbish by hand or with a flexible rake and throw it into the bin. For larger areas such as gardens, perhaps a blower can be very useful for this task.
For artificial turf installed indoors or on balconies, use a vacuum cleaner if you wish and clean with water. That'll freshen up your turf!
For artificial turf installed outdoors, you can also use a vacuum cleaner, but be careful not to remove the sand from inside.
Periodic Clean
Constant transportation over artificial turf can cause certain areas to be crushed and lose their natural beauty. Therefore, regular maintenance can be easily performed. To do this, simply use a brush, or hard broom, to brush the artificial turf and make those crushed areas vertical again. Then, spray on soft soap (or vinegar and water) and rinse the entire area with water.
If you have a large area of artificial turf and brushing/cleaning sounds like too much trouble, you can always hire a maintenance person from a professional who has all the necessary tools to do the job faster and better.
Moreover, professional maintenance goes beyond simply cleaning the lawn. A professional checks the joints to make sure there are no unsightly cracks in the artificial grass. If there are gaps, they can be patched with extra turf. They also checked all the edges to make sure the artificial turf was fixed well. If any edge is loose, they can fix it to avoid a possible accident. They use a special solution to clean and disinfect the artificial grass. They are also responsible for brushing the grass to make it look new. If necessary, they can install more silica sand fills.
