Two to five years after the grassland is planted, it is a vigorous growth stage. The ornamental grassland is mainly green, so the emphasis is on maintaining the green. Moisture management, open the grass stems, the soil is dry but not white, wet but not stained, dry in spring and summer, wet in autumn and winter as the principle. Fertilization should be applied lightly and thinly, with less application from April to September in a year, and more application from January to March and October to December.
Grass cutting is the focus of this stage. The number of cuts and the quality of cuts are related to grassland degradation and maintenance costs. It is advisable to control the number of cuts at 8-10 times a year. From February to September, cut once a month on average, and cut once every two months from October to January of the following year. Technical requirements for cutting grass: First, the best viewing height of the grass is 10cm or less, and it can be cut if it exceeds 10cm. When it is greater than 15cm, it will set up a "grass mound" to pick up fine grass and debris locally; the second is the operation of the lawnmower and adjust the knife. Distance, 2~4cm above the ground (low cut in the long season, high cut in autumn and winter), advance at a constant speed, and the cutting widths intersect 3~5cm each time, without missing cut; third, clean the grass and leaves in time after cutting, and keep warm and fertilize.
