Polyethylene (PE): Offers a softer feel and closely resembles natural grass in both appearance and athletic performance; it is widely accepted by users and stands as the most extensively used raw material for artificial grass fibers in the 21st century.
Polypropylene (PP): Features stiffer fibers; generally suitable for tennis courts, playgrounds, running tracks, and decorative applications. Its wear resistance is slightly inferior to that of polyethylene.
Nylon: The earliest raw material used for artificial grass fibers, representing the first generation of such fibers. The blades are soft, providing a comfortable feel underfoot.

Based on manufacturing processes, artificial turf is categorized into injection-molded turf and woven turf. Injection-molded turf is produced by extruding plastic granules into a mold in a single step; a bending technique is then used to shape the blades, ensuring a uniform, evenly spaced arrangement and consistent blade height. It is suitable for applications such as kindergartens, sports fields, balconies, landscaping, and sand-gold mining areas.
Woven turf is created by inserting synthetic fibers-designed to resemble natural grass blades-into a woven base fabric and applying a stabilizing coating to the back. It is used for sports fields, leisure areas, golf courses, garden flooring, and landscaping.
